Mississippi Center for Public Policy is an independent, non-profit, public policy organization based in Jackson, Mississippi. MCPP works to promote and protect the concepts of free markets, limited government, and strong traditional families. MCPP monitors the activities of the Mississippi Legislature, posting daily legislative votes and summaries of important legislation on its website. Also on its website, MCPP provides legislative news, research, commentary, and an extensive, interactive database of Mississippi education statistics. MCPP also produces a one-minute radio commentary that is heard several times weekly on two statewide radio networks.
MCPP is supported by voluntary, tax-deductible contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations. MCPP does not seek or accept funding from government sources for its projects or programs.
